I've been wanting to write this post for the longest time. Look at that smile!! It melts my heart every time I see it or even think about it!! Having a baby has taught me a lot of things. Simple things, things that are so basic that we all tend to overlook somehow. Lucas has taught me to live right now, at this moment. I do think about the future, but I enjoy every moment with him and right then I LIVE, I feel alive. He has shown me the value of time. Only those who have kids will understand me. No more procrastination. I know that if I happen to have free 5 minutes, I gotta get my stuff done because who knows when would be the next time I'll have such an opportunity. Seize the day! I would elaborate and say seize the moment!! Lucas has shown me what pure, unconditional love is. Every time when I finally get myself downstairs around noon-ish (Tyler I love you!), my baby stops doing whatever it was he was doing and just crawls to me as fast as he can! And he'll try to climb my legs and he won't calm down until I pick him up and kiss him. Lucas taught me to appreciate little things! Look how happy he is that he got a new toy!! I remind myself to be grateful for what I have. And most of all, Lucas has proven to me that there's nothing more important than family.
